What measures have been put in place to stop it happening in the future?
By Brianna and Kate Union Carbide took several steps to provide continual aid to the victims of the Bhopal disaster and also developed a Responsible Care system with members of the chemical industry as a response to the Bhopal disaster which is designed “to aid the prevention of such an event happening in the future by improving community awareness, emergency readiness and process safety standards.”
The accident at Bhopal showed insight for the future, and things that can be done to prevent accidents, such as: · Not storing too many chemicals in one plant · Obeying all safety instructions · Don’t store hazardous chemicals at chemical plants
